My granddaughter, Elsa Faith, was born on August 7th. Her name is my husband's father's mother's name (!) - her great great grandmother. She is a blessing from above and I would like to dedicate this post to her and the legacy of faith she has been born into.
For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths
of the earth,
Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.
Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139
But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him,
and His righteousness with their children’s children — with those who keep His covenant
and remember to obey His precepts.
the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him,
and His righteousness with their children’s children — with those who keep His covenant
and remember to obey His precepts.
The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and His kingdom rules over all. Psalm 103
and His kingdom rules over all. Psalm 103
As you live your legacy of faith, Elsa, may the God of your forefathers go before you, may they surround you with blessing, may you become (and remain) strong in faith.
You are so loved.
Grandma
